It’s such a treat to have my sister here in Rotterdam. Aside from being my best friend and co-conspirator on a million pie in the sky projects, Julie is a talented cook and photographer who showcases these twin passions through her small business and associated website, Kitchen Culinaire. Today we celebrate International Women’s Day by walking the city for eight straight hours, stopping to take in a happening lady dance party at Odeon, check out the fancy food shops on Nieuwe Binnenweg, watch our latest hand-processed Dual 8 experiment at WORM, eat a decadent lunch in a 16th century thatched-roof cottage, and peek in dozens of pretty windows along the way (the Dutch don’t believe in closed curtains). Here are a few of her photographs from a lovely day…
All that and a Lady Dance too!! Wish I was there!
xo’s to both of you….
Wish you were here too… Lots of lovely things to look at and taste. Tonight is Museum Night… more to come on that soon!
Lisa I finally caught up on your blog! Your adventure sounds fantastic and I’m loving your photos. Making me home sick for the homeland…well Ross’s homeland, but I consider anywhere in Europe my homeland!

Thanks, Lady! I’m looking forward to the day when we’re all in Tuscany together…
