12.20.12: Life In The Fast Lane

There’s no better way to explore a new place than on two wheels and we’ve certainly had the pleasure of biking in some exotic locales.  But Hanoi is hands down the most exhilarating ride EVER. The streets are filled with cars, trucks, scooters and motorcycles, moving like a very swift river and all honking constantly. There are bicycles piled high with flowers, fruit, cardboard and kids. You have to go with the flow, stay very alert, relax, trust your instincts and your fellow travelers. Drivers weave around you; you weave around pedestrians. Don’t even think about stopping! It all feels kind of like flying.
