7.1.12: Kino

Today I photograph some soviet-era film posters we saved from the village “culture club” some years back, after they stopped showing 35mm prints and the two projectors were removed. Although the club still hosts weekend discos for the young folks and the odd recital, weekly screenings are sadly a thing of the past.

Paolo Davanzo and Lisa Marr travel the world, sharing movies and music with the masses. At home in Los Angeles, they facilitate community screenings and workshops at the Echo Park Film Center, a non-profit media arts organization.
