6.20.12: Hamam Mamas

Since there’s rain outside, why not check out the Turkish bath? Shauna and I spend the entire day lounging at Frauenzentrum Schokoladenfabrik, a women’s center  in a former chocolate factory where they’ve been operating a women-only Hamam (Germany’s first!) since 1988. Scrubs, rubs, mint tea and beautiful tile work: “Our Hamam cleanses and cares for the body and soul. It promotes not only the purification of the body and exploration of pure sensory pleasure, but also collective relaxation and communication between our guests in a warm and pleasant atmosphere. Our Hamam is a place where women from all cultures and walks of life work, meet, and unwind.” You said it, Sister!
