6.11.12: Gems

Continuing our exploration of Paris gems off the beaten track, today we check out Halles Saint Pierre for the “Banditi dell’arte”  exhibition of Italian visionary art followed by an intriguing array of  historic Masonic items at La Grande Loge Nationale Française and finally the magical Deyrolle, a shop that since 1831 has provided “materials for natural science…teaching apparatus of many sorts as well as insects and shells collections, mounted animals of many kind, natural wonders and collection pieces.” Max and I are enamored with the butterfly collection on display in the entomology room… ah, such beautiful wings…
