A few favorites from this afternoon’s walk:
peeling paint on rusty gates
white nanny goat and the little green tree
stork mama
beware of dog
young sunflowers stretching to the horizon and the hum of a million insects working
red tractor
kitten on the front step, chicken in the yard (good title for a square-dance song)
young couples strolling babies (4:30 pm is the time for this) - tidy, aloof moms / surly, glowering dads / children bright as butterflies
tending the garden
and
the love swans…
I know them all from last year; next year they’ll be here too.
