2.27.18: Baby Baby Stay Up All Night

Go to bed at 1 am. Get up at 3:30 am. Marina and Pedro take us on a  psychedelic joyride, painting with light at 5 am. And Garazi wraps up production in the 6 am hour, leading us to lights and lions on the coldest night of the year. 24 shoots completed in three and a half days… nice work, team!

A little shut eye, half an hour of Yoga With Adriene, a dash to the Express for snacks, and back just in time for the first processing slot at 3:30 pm. When you’re staying in an apartment with two bathrooms, turning one of them into a lab is a no brainer! And what a joy it is to mix up a batch of Ricardo Leite’s never-fail caffenol, share some laughs, and process Super 8 with these dynamic duos (and one trio): Aizpea and Irati, Helena and Maddi, Eva and Patxi, Javi and Iñaki and Elisa, Pedro and Garazi. Your footage is AMAZING!!!! Special shout out to Eva and Paxti for bringing the big yellow Pastas Beatriz box containing an enormous pile of garroticos.

“If you do not know the garroticos of Pastas Beatriz, you are not an authentic Pamplona. If you walk along Estafeta street and do not recognize the warm atmosphere, wrapped in a smell of hot chocolate , puff pastry and dough cooking at 230 degrees, that means you have smell problems, or that you are not from Pamplona.”

Let’s hear it for Pamplona’s favorite sugar high! We are officially addicted!
