5.13.15: Watch It, Walter!

The Sound We See project is inspired by the city symphonies of the 1920s when innovative filmmakers combined experimental creative process with the the dynamic urban environment to specular effect. You can check out city symphonies made in Manhattan, Amsterdam and Ukraine but the big daddy of them all is Walter Ruttmann’s Berlin: Symphony of a Great City. As the first day of shooting begins with Juli catching the twilight magic at Gorlitzer Park and Dagie and Khani taking on Tegel Airport, we channel the spirit of cinematic ancestors and embrace whatever this great city brings our way…
