1.1.13: Welcome 2013!

We are full-on into production mode on The Sound We See: Hanoi and each day is filled with cinematic activity. This morning, Duc captures the light coming through the windows of her office where she works as a landscape architect. In the late afternoon, Loc shoots in eight different locations around West Lake, all in his allotted 4 – 5 pm time frame!  In between, there’s a delicious breakfast at Puku, a walk along the mysterious little railroad track that runs through the city, the most divine watermelon/mint juice at the very elegant Manzi, a stroll down the street lined with market stalls on one side and funeral florists on the other, a survey of sidewalk entrepreneurial activity, a trip to the Military Museum, and iced coffee and chocolate cake at the stroke of 3 pm  to celebrate midnight on the west coast… Happy New Year, LA and Vancouver! A perfect day to start a bright, shiny 2013…
