It’s the perfect weather for a long bike ride so off we go, down the glorious wide avenues of Berlin, dodging dogs in Grunewald forest, past party-ing teens along the lake, a detour to take the world’s shortest ferry ride to Peacock Island where there are indeed peacocks and also water buffalo, and all the way to Potsdam, famous as the residence of Prussian kings and Germain Kaisers until 1918. Then back to Berlin where there are sweet cemeteries and soccer matches to round out a lovely day…
