While Paolo and Florian get up at the crack of dawn to go to the big used camera market near Utrecht, Julie and I walk down the block to the monthly flea market. The sun is shining, the birds are singing and people have tossed off their winter coats to shop, shop, shop. No doubt about it: people love stuff.
After snapping up some major scores (a beautiful vintage silver stereo card reader! two Nizo Super 8 cameras!) and passing on others (a complete collection of My Little Ponies), we convene at WORM for Week 2 of The Sound We See. Esther does a terrific guest lecture on 16mm basics and then it’s out into the warm afternoon with Bolexes in hand… the cinematic revolution is alive and well in Rotterdam!
Funny. I still need to hear the story about the flea market “near” fist to cuffs?
caught up on the last few posts. the julie week sounds like the sweetest yet! can’t wait to see the sound we see rotterdam!!!!!
